Dr. Imane Tarkhan is a clinical psychologist and the founder of The Counselling Unit for Psychological Development. She earned her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from Southern California University and is also an Adjunct Psychology Professor at the American University in Cairo.

She has more than 20 years of experience in clinical psychology and psychotherapy, with postgraduate certification in Existential Humanistic Therapy from the Existential Humanistic Institute in California.

Her areas of work include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality-related difficulties, self-esteem issues, burnout, and couples counseling. Her approach focuses on helping clients feel genuinely understood rather than judged.

Nour El Zouhairy is a counseling psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, as well as a Master’s Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the American University in Cairo.

She is an Adjunct Faculty Professor at the American University in Cairo and a member of the American Psychological Association.

Her work includes support for personality-related difficulties, anxiety, codependency, self-esteem issues, and mood concerns. She works with both adults and adolescents, with a focus on providing a safe and supportive environment.

She has experience supporting people dealing with mood concerns, personality-related difficulties, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and life challenges.

Her approach adapts to each client’s needs, drawing from person-centered, humanistic, cognitive behavioral, and interpersonal approaches.
